Emmanuel Ray & Amy Heasman
Fashionistas, entrepreneurs, film folk, media personnel and other professionals from a variety of businesses attended Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray on Thursday 21st April. (Click Here for photos).

Zenna, London's first Indian cocktail bar, was fully packed with the socialites and diners from the restaurant above also came down to join the fun. Guests were treated to complimentary cocktails and canapés on arrival, before being introduced.

Sam and Mal Weeraratne, owners of the popular Büty Salon in Hammersmith & Fulham, treated guests to tress-busting massage sessions. The salon will also offer special discounts to members of Socialite Evenings networking society and are currently promoting their latest service; onsite express massages to corporate individuals. The massage was a great hit and all recipients complimented Sam and Mal on their technique and skill. Emmanuel Ray has personally tried out Büty Salon's various other treatments and highly recommended it to readers of his popular column Diary of an It Boy.

Jazz songstress Amy Heasman entertained the audience with her deep husky voice and performed both classic and new numbers. Having last performed at Socialite Evenings' The Autumn Soirée at Lord Glenconner's old town house back in November 2009, Amy Heasman received a warm welcome-back to the event. Emmanuel Ray spotted Amy Heasman singing at the Icecreamists launch party in Selfridges during London Fashion Week's 25th anniversary in September 2009. Impressed by her talent, Emmanuel Ray introduced her into his network. The socialite also confirmed the songstress will be entertaining guests at future events as well. Any Heasman has performed at the legendary Green Room Actors Club and at various other bars and clubs around London.

Guests at Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray included representatives from the Independent Film Trust, the Liberal Democrats, Bloomberg, the Old London Underground Company project, film & theatre professionals, entrepreneurs, fashionistas, bankers and other corporate individuals. The event was sponsored by MM Vekaria & Co Accountants, Büty Salon & Zenna. Partners included Break London Radio, Superstar Magazine, Frost Magazine, The Style Column and Work In Fashion.

Zenna has been called the ‘best new cocktail bar in London’ by national newspapers and industry publications alike. It combines a contemporary Indian twist with classic cocktails, and features the World’s Spiciest Cocktail, called the Illiana. Decorated with azure blue walls and soft leather furnishings, Zenna is quickly becoming one of London’s hottest nightspots.

When Britain’s First It Boy Emmanuel Ray experienced Büty Salon’s luxurious treatments, he decided to promote the brand to his audience via his networking events Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray and his column Diary of an It Boy.

Hosted in exclusive locations in Central London, Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray is the networking society that dared to mix business with pleasure, spoiling and pampering it's members and guests with free treats and feel-goodness!

Often referred to as London's most fabulous networking soiree, Socialite Evenings' guests have included politicians, Oscar and Emmy award winners, aristocrats, celebrities, diplomats, successful entrepreneurs and London's It crowd in general.

From April 2011 onwards, Büty Salon will offer on site mobile massage sessions to guests at Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray. The salon will also offer special discounts to all members of Socialite Evenings networking society and will be promoting their latest service; onsite express massages to corporate individuals.

“It’s a great way of combating stress and a cost effective way for businesses to reward their staff,” says Mal Weeraratne partner of Büty Salon. “Emmanuel Ray will also be hosting special promotions at Büty Salon outlets on a seasonal basis. It’s going to be great fun!” he added, smiling cheerfully.

Through his social gatherings and business networking events, fashion shows and cocktail parties, Emmanuel Ray promotes a variety of brands and businesses on a non exclusive basis. The London socialite has a knack for spotting talent and great service in fashion, beauty and entertainment, while promoting the goods and services he samples, to guests at his events. He also publicises them to his audience through the medium of his presenting work, press interviews and column Diary of an It Boy.

Büty Salon's Sam gives Yelp.com's Sidney Enzo Brooks a massage
Established in 1994, Büty Salon has grown from 1 therapist to over 20 fully trained beauty therapists, running a successful business in their Hammersmith and Fulham branches.

Emmanuel Ray says “Büty Salon delivers high quality treatments tailored to suit each skin type. Their unisex treatments are of the highest quality and I like the technique and skill with which they’re performed. I enjoyed the treatments so much I wanted to stay there all day!”

Listed below are excerpts from Diary of an It Boy Emmanuel Ray’s column appearing in the following publications; Laissez Faire tabloid, Superstar Magazine, Break London Radio website, The Style Column, Work In Fashion portal and Frost Magazine.

“Kasia, the beautiful Polish therapist at the Büty Salon in Fulham, worked her magic on my hands and feet while Sam, who ran the salon with her husband Mal, treated me to a relaxing head and shoulders massage. We talked about relationships, love and sex and I realised that both women were content and happy with their partners. Sam found my love life amusing, while Kasia seemed to have an answer for everything. Sam and Mal, my fellow countrymen, had brought good old fashioned Sri Lankan hospitality to Büty Salon and managed two branches in Hammersmith and Fulham.”

“Kasia’s pedicure left me wanting to kiss my own feet or hook up with a foot fetishist! My feet were clean, smooth and nourished. I’d never seen them look so good in ages! Sam continued pampering me with an amazing facial, a combination of the Aromatic Skin Fitness Essential facial for men and the Aroma Plastie facial for women. Linseed, wheatgerm and sunflower coupled with exfoliation, extraction, massage and mask, leave me in a near ethereal state. Tara, the lovely Nepalese lady threads my eyes brows and hair line quite expertly, leaving my forehead looking well groomed, yet natural.”

“There are several beauty therapists and salons in London. But Büty Salon in Hammersmith and Fulham are definitely worth a visit for their excellent treatments, the skill and technique they’re performed with, and of course the excellent customer care and service. They make you feel like the only customer at the salon and you feel very special, which is probably why it’s the most popular salon south of the river. Büty Salon also launched its mobile massage therapy service at global fashion power house Next Model Management during London Fashion Week.”

Büty Salon is promoted by Juliet Francis at Juice PR. Socialite Evenings by Emmanuel Ray is organised by Ray Clark at Crimson Edge events.

Catch Emmanuel Ray on Stonewall Live USA's 1st international broadcast! Thursday, April 14th 4 PM EST (UK time 9pm)

Britain's First It Boy Emmanuel Ray will be appearing on Stonewall Live Radio's first ever international broadcast tonight Thursday 14 April at  09:00 PM (4 PM EST). The socialite will be chatting to host Nate Klarfeld, discussing a variety of topics ranging from his personal life to supporting charitable causes, his column Diary of an It Boy and upcoming book and events.

Stonewall Live! is often referred to as the best in Gay and Lesbian book, film, and media talk. Nate Klarfeld, author, community activist and former board chair of The Stonewall Library Museum Archive, recently launched blogtalk radio program, Stonewall Live! After spending many years organizing book talks and author signings at The Stonewall, he felt a wider audience could share Gay literature and culture with the new medium of Internet radio.  Started just a few weeks ago, the show has gained traction attracting American Library Association book award winners, editors of national magazines, and media and TV personalities.

"It is an honour to be picked to appear on the first ever international broadcast of such an iconic project!" said Emmanuel Ray. "With the world getting smaller and gaps between communities being bridged, I admire Stonewall Live's work in supporting both established and up & coming LGBT talent. The international broadcast can be accessed from anywhere in the world and Stonewall seems to be doing a great job in mirroring the multi culturalism and diversity in our communities and societies," he added.

Best selling openly gay author of one of the hottest selling self help books, “The Brain Mechanic”, Spencer Lord was one of the first guests on Stonewall Live! Sean Strub, founder of POZ magazine and an early leader of the HIV activist movement has also been a guest. ACT-UP recently did a great interview.  In the upcoming weeks look for Reichen Lemkuhl from Logo TV’s ‘The A List’, as well as authors of Young Adult gay literature, bloggers, and new media experts.

“What surprised me is that in the first few weeks we had over 2500 distinct IP address downloads of the archived interviews.  For Gay and Lesbian literature this is huge.” Says Nate Klarfeld, producer and host of Stonewall Live! Since the downloads and live listens can be tracked , it was a pleasant surprise that many of them have come from iPhones, smartphones, Facebook, and the Twitter account (#stonewalllive) meaning that a younger demographic has picked up on gay literary culture. In the coming weeks the show will be doing several on location broadcasts, “Equality Across Campus” from the Gay Straight Alliance at Broward College on April 13th, 2011 and “Voices of Pride” from Pridefest 2011, March 12-13, 2011.

Stonewall Live! will also feature writers from the Distinguished Author Series of The Stonewall Library Museum Archive in Ft. Lauderdale. The show is live on Thursdays at 9:00 PM EST with an interactive call-in and chat room for questions and comments. You can tune in and also hear past episodes of Stonewall Live! by logging on to www.blogtalkradio.com/stonewalllive.
